Acacia Wood Serving Board with Handle
Acacia Wood Serving Board with Handle
One board, a hundred excuses to gather people around the table.
Product description
A paddle-shaped serving board cut from a single piece of solid acacia, finished by hand so the grain stays open, warm and unmistakably real. It is the piece you reach for before anyone sits down.
There is a particular kind of kitchen object that quietly becomes the centre of every gathering, and this board is designed to be exactly that. The silhouette is deliberately simple: a generous rounded paddle for food, a short ergonomic handle for carrying, and a single hanging hole so it can live on a hook instead of disappearing into a cupboard. Nothing decorative, nothing unnecessary — just the right shape, repeated well.
Each board is cut from solid acacia, a hardwood prized for its density and its naturally dramatic grain. Because the wood is a single continuous piece rather than a laminated blank, the grain flows from handle to tip in one direction, and no two boards carry the same pattern. Expect warm honey tones with darker caramel streaking, occasional tight knots, and small shifts in colour where the tree changed direction as it grew. These are not defects; they are the reason to choose solid wood over a printed imitation.
The surface is sanded through four grits and finished with food-safe oil, so it feels smooth under the palm but never glassy or plastic-coated. The raised juice groove along the inner edge keeps cut fruit, roast juices and olive oil where they belong, while the flat centre gives you enough room for a full loaf, a wheel of cheese, or a spread of mezze for four. The handle is shaped with a softened underside so it sits comfortably in a curled hand even when the board is fully loaded.
Use it as a cheese board on Friday night, a bread board on Sunday morning, a carving board for a small roast, or purely as a backdrop on an open shelf. Acacia is naturally resistant to moisture and staining, which means this board moves from prep to table without complaint and looks better with every year of use. Oil it once a month and it will outlast most of the appliances in your kitchen.
“The board that never goes back in the cupboard — it earns its hook by the stove.”
Key features
- Solid single-piece acacia — no laminated layers, no veneer, no filler; the grain runs continuously from handle to tip.
- Hand-finished surface — sanded through four grits and sealed with food-safe oil for a smooth, natural, never-plastic feel.
- Rounded paddle silhouette — wide enough for a full loaf or a cheese spread for four, balanced enough to carry one-handed.
- Integrated juice groove — a shallow channel catches oil, brine and fruit juices so nothing runs onto the table.
- Ergonomic handle with hanging hole — softened underside for a secure grip; hangs on a hook for easy everyday access.
- Knife-friendly hardness — dense acacia resists deep scoring better than soft pine or bamboo, and gently protects your knife edge.
- One of a kind — natural variation in grain, tone and knots means the board you receive is genuinely yours.
Materials & construction
Made from 100% solid acacia hardwood, kiln-dried to stabilise moisture content before cutting. The board is finished with a food-contact-safe natural oil and wax blend, free from mineral-oil petrochemicals and synthetic sealers. Edges are hand-eased, not machine-chamfered, so the rim feels soft rather than sharp.

Care instructions
Wipe with a damp cloth and mild dish soap, then dry upright immediately — never leave it flat in a pool of water and never put it in the dishwasher. Once a month (or whenever the surface starts to look thirsty), rub in a thin coat of food-safe mineral or walnut oil, let it absorb overnight and buff off the excess. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight and do not use it as a trivet for pans straight off the heat.
